Come along to Animal Antics scrapbook craft and story time. 

This activity is aimed at children aged 1.5 years and up.

Sessions start at 10:15am and run on the first Tuesday of the month.

Booking is essential as places are limited. Please book a place for each child that will be attending.

This May, Balsall Common Library will be once again inviting patrons and the local community to take a trip down memory lane remembering life in Balsall Common and the surrounding areas. 

A Postcard from Balsall Common is a project first run in 2020, and this Local and Community History Month the library will be encouraging the sharing of memories by filling in a postcard in the library to be pegged on a special ‘reminiscence washing line’.

On Thursday 23rd May there will be a Reminiscence Cafe as part of this event.

The library is especially keen to hear from anyone who has any old photographs, newspaper articles, and other items of interest concerning the area and its history. Any information about shops and businesses that are no longer with us or local individuals of note would also be gratefully received.

As well as sharing newly collected memories and local history with the community, the library will also be preserving them for posterity by adding copies to the Solihull Heritage & Local Studies Service.

5 月 9 日木曜日 10:15 から、ソリフルコア ライブラリーで日本語の絵本読み聞かせと手遊び歌をします。

0 ～ 5 歳のお子様が対象で、セッション後はライブラリーの'stay and play'に残り自由に遊んだり、親子同士交流する場として利用して頂けます。

Indulge in a digital detox, switch off from the outside world and lose yourself in an hour of uninterrupted reading at The Core. No, it’s not a reading club, it’s a chance to unwind and read any book you like, in a cosy, informal environment without distractions. So, step away from that phone, grab a slice of cake and a coffee, and treat yourself to an hour of silent reading!

The Café begins with an hour of silent reading between 6pm and 7pm, with a chance to chat (if you want) between 7pm and 7.45pm. There's no obligation to talk about your book, although the conversation often turns to what everyone is reading!

Come along to Chelmsley Wood Library for a pirate adventure storytime with rhymes to sing to your little ones, as well making your own pirate pal and a treasure trove to take home!

This activity is suitable for children between 18 months to 6 years old. 

Please book a place for each child that will be attending, adults do not need to book a space.
