Two-part BBC drama based on the award-winning novel by Andrea Levy. Set in Jamaica and London in the aftermath of the Second World War, the drama follows the interconnected lives of Londoners Queenie and Bernard (Ruth Wilson and Benedict Cumberbatch), the young Jamaican couple Gilbert and Hortense (David Oyelowo and Naomie Harris) who take up lodgings in their home, and mysterious RAF pilot Michael (Ashley Walters).
